The Chettiar mansions of Tamil Nadu were built from Burma teak and lit by brass. Many are gone now, taken down piece by piece, their timber sold by weight.

We buy that timber and give it another hundred years. Not restored to look new — repaired honestly, the splits and losses bridged in brass so you can see exactly where the wood has been.

In time the same hands will work Welsh hardwood from our own woodland in Ceredigion — thinned, milled and seasoned there, then built here. Two countries, one workshop.

Three lines, two countries

One material language. Brass, honest joinery, and a named maker on every piece.

Revived

One of a kind

Salvaged Chettinad teak — pillars, doors and beams from dismantled mansions — rebuilt and repaired. Cracks are not hidden; they are filled with brass and made the point of the piece.

The capsule

Six new pieces in solid teak, made in Karaikudi. The courtyard column reduced to a profile, and a grid of brass dots drawn from the kolam.
